Devlog 2
Pyramid Scams Untitled » Devlog
Since the last devlog (which was actually the first), we discussed the origin of the game idea we want to develop and gave a brief introduction to the team.
After that, we held a group meeting to break the work into smaller tasks. Given how early we are in development, this step was crucial for organizing the workflow and better conceptualizing the ideas. Here are the key aspects we're focusing on:
- Static basic enemy
- Enemy that shoots bullets: An enemy capable of firing bullets, which will damage the player upon impact. (In the future, we plan to add friendly fire between enemies.)
- Special ability to slow down time in a circular area: This is one of the innovative mechanics. It’s an ability with a cooldown, which slows everything within the designated area.
- Force to move enemies or objects: This grants the player the ability to select an enemy or object and launch it by applying a force (with both direction and magnitude).
What are we working on right now?
We are currently adding a friction mechanic to the force ability, so enemies don’t fly off forever. Additionally, we’ve started designing the game’s levels, beginning with a tutorial, using a tileset we've selected for the game.
